Sneak peek at an interview

As you know our Women Behind the Plow project is in full swing. After a summer of interviews, a photo exhibit will be created and debuted at the October 2015 Sauerkraut Days in Wishek.

After that time, the photos will be available as a traveling exhibit telling a story of life on farm from a woman’s perspective. So far the interviews have been surprising, the photos amazing and the coffee breaks and lunches superb. I don’t want you all to forget about the great work of the Tri-County Tourism Alliance and so here is a tidbit of an interview I did in July – Just for fun.

Alice Woehl Buerkley read from a poem that her grandmother carried with her on the journey to a new land. She then tells us what it means in English. Delightful to hear the language of our forefathers again. Enjoy.
