Happy Valentines Day

Rest assured the text messages are flying this morning as family and friends exchange “I Love Yous” and “Be My Valentine.” Children will lovingly carry decorated boxes to accept Valentines from their friends after spending time signing Valentines to give.

My smart phone is still smarter than I am but I do text. I prefer mail. I love getting mail. I love sending mail. I have boxes and boxes of correspondence from 20+ years ago saved – and I am not sure why. Will I ever go back and read those messages?

Even if you don’t have a smart phone you will know what LOL or OMG stand for, among other acronyms for commonly used phrases. Well, we were there first.

When I gave my grandchildren their Valentine’s Day cards, I put on the back flap S.W.A.K. and guess what – my daughter did not know what that meant. So I’m here to bring back the first “text” message by mail. Sealed With A Kiss.

So there you youngsters, a new way to sign off on your text messages…. and Happy Valentines Day.
