THE BOOK IS HERE

Some of you may already know that the book has been printed and we shipped our orders last Friday. If you do not have yours yet, it should be coming soon. We are preparing, in addition to keeping up with our regular jobs, for Ashley’s celebration. We will have boxes of books that we hope will empty quickly for sale at the courthouse.

What an experience. What an experience and what a learning experience. There are many things we did not anticipate along the way – so in addition to learning all about my roots, I learned about book publishing. When I say we, I mean Carmen Rath-Wald and myself, know now about how much a beautiful book weighs, how much work it is to package and mail out books, keep orders straight, collect money, collect sales tax (we haven’t had to report it yet, but when that day comes, look out).

There were others behind the scenes, like Athena Dunn, who has helped us with collecting money. Sometimes people who create, are the worst people to do addition and write checks. Things are happening very quickly and I just wanted to take the time to THANK YOU for your orders. Without preorders we would not have known how popular the book is, how many to print and how to store 2 tons of boxes.

Please let us know what you think by posting comments. And don’t forget to collect your stories, photos and recipes for our archives. We are still collecting materials albeit on a very very limited budget.

If you haven’t purchased your copy of Ewiger Saatz. Now is the time. And we thank you for it.
